| Minutes of Meeting | MINUTES OF BOD HELD ON October 2, 2023, at 7.00 pm at Core Concept Clinic, Apte Road Members Present: 1. Dr. Umesh D. Falak - President 2. Sarita Goenka - Secretary 3. Jayant Kolhatkar Opening and Welcome: The meeting commenced at 7:00 pm, with President Dr. Umesh D. Falak welcoming all the present board members. 1) Administrative Planning and Approval of Meetings Following upcoming meetings were discussed and approved: • October 5, 2023 (Thursday) - Business Meeting/ Installation of 2 Rotaract Clubs. • October 19, 2023 – Dandiya & Kojagiri Party • October 26, 2023 – Meeting with DRT • November 3, 2023 (Friday) - Diwali Party at PYC 2) Service Projects Planning and Approval of Budget Review and approve the budget for service projects: • Asmita Project – • Proposed as beneficiaries, students of Maharshi Karve College and SNDT College – Rtn Anita and Rtn Alkatai working on it • Dhaga Project • Rtn Anita following up for delivery of sewing machines • 2 Beneficiaries for the same will be introduced by Dr. Pashankar, 1 by Jyoti, and 1 by Anita. • Progress on application received from Velhe for New Borwell- • It was suggested that a survey be conducted for the viability of the borewell. Rtn Vikas to help in getting CSR for the project. • Bahuli School has promised to donate Rs. 20,000/- to our Trust in this month. • Aerators – It was decided that 250 aerators @ Rs. 55/- will be ordered. The balance from Rs. 55,000/- (sanctioned for aerators in last BOD), will be used for other projects. 3) Medical Projects Planning & Approval of Budget • Since we were not able to find needy Anganwadis, it was suggested that the CSR received for Anganwadis, be used for the Gift of Life Project. It can be a Global Grant Project, and the shortfall of Rs. 3 lacs for Club contribution, will be arranged by Rtn. Vikas. • Discuss and approve the budget for medical projects: • Plan for BMD and Eye Check Up Camp in the month of October in Velhe- Expected cost ₹ 22,000. Approved by BOD. Another Rs. 12,000/- is balance from last project, will also be used for this project. • Talk on Nutrition for Velhe Farmers by FL Rtn Ketki Falak. • Cataract operations will be done at no profit/no loss basis. • Formation of RCC – meeting will be held to discuss procedure to form an RCC 4) Literacy Project Planning & Approval of Budget • As Literacy Director was not available, no discussion on the Avenue was held. 5) New Generation Initiatives • Installation of 2 Rotaract Clubs to be held on 5th October. 6) Resignation received from Rtn. Dr. Amit Andre 4 senior members including President, to look into it and decide. 7) Foundation Discussion In the absence of Foundation Director, President appealed to all to donate generously. They were also requested to get donations from Non-Rotarians. Each donation to be minimum of Rs. 2,500/-. 8) Conference Discussion ₹11,500 to be paid by all members in Cash or in Club Account asap. 10) Status of Signatory for Trusts and club in bank changes to be done asap. • Nearly completed • It was decided to transfer from Club account to Trust account a sum of Rs. 50,000/- (@ Rs. 1,000 per member) 11) Global Grant, CSR followup, and new CSR Global Grant for Anganwadi – Already mentioned above Global Grant – Happy School – In progress 12) Any other point with the permission of the President. • As 25/10 is Polio Day, it was decided that each member to give minimum $10 or above to Polio Fund. • It was informed by PE Rtn Prachi Andre, that next years BOD would be an all female members BOD. The same was approved by the BOD members present. • 13)Next BOD Meeting: The next BOD Meeting is set for Sunday, November 5th. • Adjournment: The meeting was adjourned at 9 pm • Meeting ended with Fellowship, courtesy President, and dinner. |
