The plantation of 2000 trees comprising jambhul, mango, pimple, and other fruit trees in Velhe village, executed by RCP Deccan Gymkhana Club and generously donated by club member Sanjay Dapodikar, has had a profound impact on the local community. These trees not only enhance the natural beauty of Velhe but also contribute significantly to environmental conservation efforts. They provide shade, improve air quality, and serve as a sustainable source of nutritious fruits for villagers. Moreover, the initiative has fostered a sense of environmental stewardship among community members, encouraging them to participate in ongoing efforts to preserve and protect their surroundings for future generations. Additionally, the fact that we have chartered RCC (Rotary Community Corps) there underscores our commitment to sustainable development and community empowerment. This partnership enhances local capacity to manage and benefit from the newly planted trees, ensuring long-term environmental and socio-economic benefits for Velhe village and its residents. The project stands as a testament to the positive change that collaborative environmental initiatives can bring to rural communities like Velhe.
